Last Tuesday, May 1st, the Dutch Pro Turf Care (PTC) committee organized a golf tournament for its sponsors. At golf course Het Rijk van Nijmegen (The Netherlands), sponsors were battling for the PTC Cup. This year’s edition was won by Mr Jos Theunissen, Olmix Plant Care Area Manager in Northern Europe.
Pro Turf Care is a scholarship fund where greenkeepers of the NGA (Dutch Greenkeepers Association) can turn to for contacts and financial support to go abroad to increase their knowledge and skills. The goal is to contribute to their professional development. For two years now, Melspring International B.V., part of the Olmix Group, is supporting the PTC fund.

Olmix Plant Care works worldwide and, from my own experience, I know that seeing how foreign greenkeepers do their work gives an enormous boost. I sincerely recommend Dutch greenkeepers to make use of the facilities and contacts that the PTC fund has“, Mr Theunissen said.
In the previous years, thanks to the support of our Plant Care division, Liber Greenkeeping and the NGA, several greenkeepers have visited international tournaments and followed international courses. They return with a lot of enthusiasm and knowledge and experience to be able to take greenkeeping in the Netherlands to the next level.
