Amadéite will be present at the 47th edition of the Interceltic Festival of Lorient for which Scotland will be the country of honor this year.
Amadéite will take part in the Interceltic Festival of Lorient from August 4th to the 13th. This major event of the Celtic culture gathers about 4,500 musicians, singers, dancers, plastic artists, academics and filmmakers from Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, the Isle of Man, Galicia, Asturias, Brittany, the United States, Canada, Australia, etc. More than 800,000 visitors and spectators are expected to come during these 10 days of shows, workshops, conferences and concerts on stages and in the town. Given the special relationship between Brittany – and the other Celtic nations – and the sea, it was quite naturally that Amadeite wanted to participate in this international meeting to share its knowledge about seaweeds with the public.
Amadéite staff will be running a booth at the Interceltic Market located near by the Jules Ferry park to inform the festival-goers about marine algae and their applications, and to raise awareness about their health benefits. The new range of algae-based food supplements: For Wellbeing will be showcased in that instance and products will be available on sale. In addition to this attendance throughout the 10 days of the event, a conference will be held by Tony Da Cruz, Food Applications Project Manager, on Tuesday, 8 August from 11 am to 1 pm on the subject: Discovering seaweed world in the Salon du Port, in the Moustoir, Lorient stadium.
