Job Description:

An independent position at a manufacturer and supplier in the growing market of organic fertilizers.

Olmix BV, located in the Netherlands, belongs to the French listed Olmix Group.

The Olmix Group offers natural solutions based for animals and plants based on trace elements, clay, algae and other forms of biomass and residual flows. The innovative technology, including slow-release fertilizers, offers good prospects for sustainable economic development. Olmix BV successfully markets patented sustainable fertilizers, soil improvers and biostimulants . In 2016, the Olmix Group took over a production location in Rogat (Dr.), where important investments have been made, aimed at growth of the Plantcare Business Unit. The company is focused on the development and production of specialty fertilizers.

Due to the departure of a colleague and the increasing growth of production and expansion of the product package, we are looking for an independent and driven Operational Purchaser. This role offers you autonomy and freedom to structure your work joined with the supporting actions of the team.



Hybrid Role Home office (1-2 days per week)

Rogat, near Meppel (Drenthe)

This role requires 32-40 hours per week.



As Operational Purchaser, you are the integral connection between the suppliers and production.


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating with factory management in planning material needs of factory
  • Ordering materials from framework contracts
  • Negotiation of contract terms & price for smaller product lines
  • Negotiation of contract terms & price for packaging & logistics
  • SLA (Service Level Agreement) Negotiation with transport companies (road, sea, & train)
  • Look out for potential (new) suppliers to also get better understanding and idea of current supplier(s).
  • Facilitating & solving customer complaints/questions
  • Coordinating various internal & external parties
  • Being assertive with external suppliers when needed
  • Ability to hold suppliers accountable
  • Managing Logistics processes

Required Qualifications:


A talent who is administratively strong, but also understands operational and strategic goals of the organization, and can actively search for new solutions.

Job Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience purchasing on an operational level (monitoring raw materials stocks vs orders and calling up raw materials from framework contracts).
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Knowledge of/affinity for logistics and stock management.
  • Good administrative and ICT skills and experience with Excel.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages in word and writing
  • The right qualities, coupled with attitude, mentality and commitment are more important than product-technical knowledge and experience.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of/affinity for the agricultural sector (knowledge of production process)
  • Experience with the raw materials we work with
